Anyone who thinks we're picking a TE or OL with our first pick at 30 and is claiming there won't be any good DL's left doesn't have a good grasp on this draft class at all. Mel Kiper, the MF'ing KING of getting it wrong, has us picking Eifert at 30, for instance. That idiot couldn't get a pick right if the team told him ahead of time what position they were drafting. Dave Archer laughs every time someone calling in tells them we need to pick a TE at 30. There's 6 or 7 very good DE's and 6 or 7 very good DT's in this draft. Not only will 3 or 4 of each still be there at 30, but several of them will still be there at our second round pick at 60. On top of that, even if we don't go DL with pick 30, we'd certainly go RB before TE or OL as well. Priority 1a and 1b are pass rush and running game. Period. And then priority 2 is stopping the run. OL and TE are the least of our priorities, actually. |

RE: Osi Umenyiora ?
I wouldn't mine picking up DE Michael Johnson in FA. He's a pretty decent pass rusher.

RE: Osi Umenyiora ?
I'd hate to burn a first round pick on a TE or a RB, just doesn't make much sense.

But if Gio Bernard or Eddie Lacy are there at 30, we can't pass them up, sorry. Not unless there's a DE or DT that was supposed to be top 10 still there as well. |

RE: Osi Umenyiora ?
you can find a solid RB in the later rounds, the value for RBs simply isn't there in the first round.

RE: Osi Umenyiora ?
I bet we draft someone with injury issues. It never fails that we do.

RE: Osi Umenyiora ?
I just couldn't pass on Gio Bernard. If he's on the board, you gotta snap him up so fast that the commish gets a paper cut.
