One Thing We Have in Common with the Saints
There is one thing that we and the Saints have in common and we will always have to battle it. No one, that is NO ONE, in the rest of the country takes us serious.
Last year in the playoffs everybody figured that the Saints were going to lose. There is no way they could beat the great Vikings. Then it was they lucked out on the Vikings and the Colts surly would teach them a lesson. Even after they won the SB people were talking about how it was a weak year and a weak SB Champion. A lot of the commentators are talking about this year being so weak; they like to say that there is no one dominant team- that is except the New England Patriots at 12-2. Whoops who else is 12-2.
We need to realize that when we win the SB in February there will be all kinds of excuses about the weak year. It will just happen and next year it will start all over about how great the National League East is.

RE: One Thing We Have in Common with the Saints
totally agree. it won't matter if we meet and beat the pats, we'll get another 'it was a lucky this or that' or a call or non call, or a bounce, or an outright fluke.

I'm reminded that the first 40 something years of the existance of the Steelers was almost as dismal as our has been. I'd love nothing more than the Falcons, Saints and Bucs to become the teams everyone else fears and don't wanna play.

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

RE: One Thing We Have in Common with the Saints
This reminds me. . After MNF last week, (Think about it, it was just the Bears stomping the Vikings) someone said on the air (I forget exactly who) that the Bears would be such a good team they are going to march INTO Atlanta in the playoffs and do the same thing they did to the Vikings. . . Now if that's not taking us as a joke, I don't know what is. They always take the Falcons as a joke. As a team that should get no respect. They better start giving the Falcons some respect, or they will just take it!
