RE: On the verge of locking up homefield - please tell me we cannot lose to Seahags
The only assurances we have are these:
1. This team will be prepared. They will not overlook, downplay or disregard the team they are facing. 2. The team handles travel to the West Coast well. San Diego, San Francisco, Oakland come to mind. 3. This team will play for 60 minutes. The rest will play itself out. What we don't know: 1. Weather. Ryan grew up in Philly and played in Boston in College - he's used to the cold weather. We played well in NC this past week in pretty cold weather. We played well in the snow at the Jets last year. I'm confident we'll do well. 2. Refs. You just never know how the crew you get will be calling the game. We will need to try to play mistake free football and overcome any issues with the Refs. 3. Desperate teams play inspired football. We don't know which Seahawks team we will see - but we must be prepared to handle anything they throw at us. The rest will be determined Sunday on the field. I am hoping for 60 minutes of great football, no injuries and a 12-2 record when we leave Seattle! GO FALCONS - RISE UP!!!! ![]()

I know we will beat the Panthers and obviously the Saints/Falcons game could go either way but like our chances there as well. Hoping for 12-2 and no injuries as well. are you going to the game, Tandy? I know you go to lots of road games. |

It was a hard fought battle, but we came out on top" "They were prepared and had a good gameplan, but we performed in all three phases and capitalized on mistakes." Looking at some of the other teams in the NFL Im more than happy with a boring coach and QB! I think The Saints are awesome and they do everything Legally and Morally |

quote from MT: "This is the NFL and all road games are tough, but the O-line played great today and that's why I was able to get 250 yards."

OK dawg, how bout some stats you should like?
Falcons are 10-0 against sub-500 teams with Ryan/Smith before this year, 6-0 this year, assuming a couple of 8 loss teams don't win out. This regime is 16-0 against sub-500 teams. Seattle is sub 500. People talk about the Seattle victories over SD and CHI. SD turned the ball over 5 times, allowed not one, but two kickoff returns for TDs and lost by 7. CHI hadn't figured out their offense, Cutler got sacked 6 times, went 0-12 on 3rd down and lost by 3. Falcons will go in there hold onto the ball, make 3rd downs, and keep big plays under control. They'll steamroll the seahawks. |

44 with a chance of rain?
I don't think weather is going to be a problem. Besides Seattle is at or near the bottom in both offense and defense stats. If we lose there we don't deserve to go to the playoffs. What's funny is that the NFC West is terrible and every time we play one of those teams this year there is fear. The SF game was full of worry but come on, Ryan won't let that happen in his house. |

The Seattle game is way more important than the Saints game. If we can just beat Seattle and Carolina then we have home field advantage, even if we lose to the Saints. We own all the common-opponent tie-breakers against the Saints.
