RE: Who Would You Bet Your Retirement On?
Betting on Cam? Just give me your money, lol.

Durant is a great bet. Megatron would get votes too, I bet.

I'd stick with Ryan, JJ, et all. At least if I lost that way, I'd still feel ok with it (as opposed to other bets). Also, I can't see how this organization, with it's amazing ethic, could avoid success for long.

To continue my investment success I choose Bobby Petrino.

I love the Falcons and to hell with anyone who doesn't!

RE: Who Would You Bet Your Retirement On?
In football, there are a few good bets:

Aaron Rodgers, as the OP mentioned, because of all of his skills, but also because he has tremendous talent around him on offense and a good GM who will keep supplying him with 5-7 legitimate targets to throw to.

The Ravens, as they are consistently good because of Ozzie Newsome. Pittsburgh is similar in this respect.

A Bill Belichick team. A Sean Payton offense. Calvin Johnson.

RE: Who Would You Bet Your Retirement On?
The only person in Durant's way is Lebron James with Kobe getting older and basketball is an easier sport to dominate.

Belicheck hasn't won the ultimate championship in years.

It's not based on the past...its based on the future

The past can be used as a basis for why u pick what u pick tho.

A lot of good bets. But I agree with ATLBond on Kobe being older and would bet my retirement on. Though I don't bet but that's another story. Maybe Belichick!

Happy Blessed Memorial Day!!

I don't have a problem saying Julio Jones. That guy is a freak of nature and going to become the best receiver in the league within a few years.

Overall, however, Kevin Durant is a sure thing for many years to come.
