I don't know if it's too early to pick our drivers for the Daytona 500 but I just made my picks. Can more than 1 person pick the same driver?

It shouldn't be too early, but I would watch the Duels on Friday and re evaluate your picks again. Everyone has the choice to pick all the same drivers. Generally where the real points are made are with your bottom two drivers or the way you spread out the points used to draft the drivers onto your team each week. I like to stagger the team so theres a guy from each tier usually.

Well I think I did a nice job of spreading out my picks. I had 5 dollars left over. I don't mind telling you who I picked and why.

Brad Keselowski - He's my favorite driver but he's also done well on the plate tracks in his career. He doesn't have the finishes at Daytona to show for his good runs but does have a couple of wins at Talladega.

Joey Logano - Logano has been fast all weekend in both his Shootout and 500 car. Also he's got 3 straight top 10 finishes in plate races.

Trevor Bayne - Bayne has been really fast in single car runs and was really good with the 2-car tandum but I don't know how well he'll do in the regular drafting.

Jamie McMurray - McMurray has proven to be a great racer at the plate tracks.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. - I like Ricky's potential in being with the team that won 2 of the 4 plate races last year.

I picked Denny Hamlin's pit crew as the fastest pit crew and even though I ended up going heavy on the Fords with my driver picks I picked Chevy as my manufacturer.

Danica got the pole. Too bad it was at Daytona and not my place.

I am pretty sure Danica can win as many poles as she wants. I'd draft her in my fantasy league for sure.
