That alone was awesome, was all I thought about for the next few days. Can't imagine it with a real race car. Awesomeness! I'm so jealous! ![]()

RE: NASCAR
I just read something that made me smile. NASCAR is going back in time. In 2005 NASCAR changed the qualifying format. I hated the new format of how they set up the starting lineup. Starting next year NASCAR is going back to the old qualifying format of starting the starting lineup for races. Also they're bring back testing which they put a ban on in 2009.
Quote:NASCAR planning multiple changes to qualifying in 2013: NASCAR is going back in time with a series of changes related to qualifying and testing. Series officials met with Sprint Cup drivers and crew chiefs Saturday at Talladega Superspeedway to detail next year's changes. ![]()

I like the change. I liked the "even older than that" method of qualifying where there was a second round of qualifying on Saturday where you could roll the dice if you didn't want to stand on your Friday time. I can't remember all the details, but it added another bit of strategy.

But I think the best qualifying format is what they use in F1 where they set a certain time aside and cars can run as many laps as they want to but come in and out of the garage as they please to make changes to their cars. That would be pretty cool and keep qualifying for being boring. ![]()

Dude you have to make sure you see the highlights of the last lap of the Talladega race today. The biggest wreak I have ever seen in my life. 25-30 car pile up. Only the top 3 didn't crash.
