I like what I hear as far as his general offensive philosophies. I like that he believes in tailoring an offense to his players' strengths. I like that he seems to be very well regarded around the league.

What I or anyone else don't know at this point is whether or not he is a teacher. Having a brilliant football mind is useless if you can't make your players understand the concepts and buy in. I've believed for a long time that this team needs coaching up more than a scheme change. Then again, those two things pretty much go hand and hand.

So, I guess you could say that I am optimistic. Much more so than had we hired Martz or Schottenheimer.

I went from highly intolerant to skeptical...only because I want this team to win. Some of what I HEAR isn't too bad. Actually JDaveG pulled me off the ceiling a couple of hours ago when he reminded me that having "players" knowledge is like having a known bias and he's right.

I'm going to wait and see...
