You will be right there where they can be seen there at Cancun. Take a day away from the beach and visit one of the ancient sites. They are awesome. I'll see if I can post some pictures in the next few days.

We had a Mayan guide on our visit to Dzibilchaltun. There was a small ancient freshwater sink-hole among the constructs that they allowed the visitors to swim in. It was partially covered in lily pads and was only about 20 by 30 yards. It went from about four feet down to around 140 feet as it dipped under the far wall. The water was so cool in the heat of the site.

It was incredible. The whole site was huge and once was populated by 20,000 Mayans and it was not as big as the ones you can see around Cancun.

Freakin' awesome!!!

Man ! sounds like fun ! I have been wanting to go on a cruise for years and my wife doesn't want to.. I would love to see some Mayan ruins.. Hell my kids have been on 4 or 5.. I might just have to leave her @ home and go myself.. Oh and Father.. if I make it down next year I will def hit you up..
