I just got back into town from our 24th anniversary cruise to Mexico. We had a great time. I must say we also enjoyed being in the Dome on Sunday for the game before we left Monday morning. All of the Falcons fans I met were very cool at the game and on Bourbon Street after. I also met a few Falcons fans on the cruise that came down for the game. Good friendly people all.

I'll try to cath up on the thread since I was gone later tonight.

Nope. Went to Progreso and Cozumel. It was our ninth trip to Mexico, but the first time we actually visited a Mayan site in the Yucatan region. You will be right there where they can be seen there at Cancun. Take a day away from the beach and visit one of the ancient sites. They are awesome. I'll see if I can post some pictures in the next few days.

We had a Mayan guide on our visit to Dzibilchaltun. There was a small ancient freshwater sink-hole among the constructs that they allowed the visitors to swim in. It was partially covered in lily pads and was only about 20 by 30 yards. It went from about four feet down to around 140 feet as it dipped under the far wall. The water was so cool in the heat of the site.

It was incredible. The whole site was huge and once was populated by 20,000 Mayans and it was not as big as the ones you can see around Cancun.

Man ! sounds like fun ! I have been wanting to go on a cruise for years and my wife doesn't want to.. I would love to see some Mayan ruins.. Hell my kids have been on 4 or 5.. I might just have to leave her @ home and go myself.. Oh and Father.. if I make it down next year I will def hit you up..

We do need to get together. Oh, and the cruise to take leaves New Orleans on a Monday and stops at Progreso on Wednesday and Cozumel on Thursday and arrives back in New Orleans on Saturday morning. It is a Carnival line cruise.

There are Mayan trips that last all day to the really famous ones, but the one we went on only takes about 40 minutes by bus to reach and you get to spend about two hours exploring with your Mayan guide and on your own. I'll put a few pictures up in this thread as soon as we get them downloaded.

And I guarantee your wife would love a cruise.

Which part? I went last month for my honeymoon and stayed at Secrets Maroma, it was great.
