No kidding and Blank was talking about on the radio of ryans extension like 6 years. Hes not going anywhere, just please get a OC that will help the WRs like Todd Haley or somebody in the Pats or Packers mode. Go Aerial Wink

Well I'm 26 and think living in the past is for old people, so you could see why I would think you were a grampa.

If my team had any history to speak of, I might respect it, but seeing as how ours is laughably pathetic, I choose to go the "what have you done for me lately?" route.

The only "first time in franchise history" I will ever care about is a Lombardi.

If all you care about is a Lombardi, why are you a Falcons Fan? I'm being serious. Or any fan for that reason.

Fandom is about all the ups and downs... watching draft picks develop or bust, winning games you shouldn't, losing games you should, being surprised and being frustrated. All those things and more make the eventual win more rewarding.

I've been a Falcons fan for almost 40 years. I promise you just 4 years of back2back and 3 playoff losses in 4 years has YET to become something to take for granted and dismiss. I'm enjoying the success so many are ignoring.

If this happens for 6 years... maybe then we can talk about thinking the pattern is repetitive.

Maybe it is this "young generation" that needs instant gratification, and is high-maintenance and selfish, but thinking our 1-of-32 franchise has to lift the Lombardi to be successful seems myopic.

Formerly SBC Falcon

It's 100% exactly what it is. I'm glad I can actually say I'm part of the 1% of this "young generation" Big Grin

See you lived through those times, I just know about them, and know you can't take winning for granted in any sport. You're a great example to what I was talking about appreciating something. Like the saying goes you really don't know what you got until its gone. If we got rid of Ryan or did some of the ridiculous things people want to do, and had 5 straight losing season, these punks would be begging for Ryan back, and making threads saying "Remember the time where we were actually a winning football team?"

Headshot, while I am glad to see you on this forum again, I can't agree with your assessment of Ryan or your failure to recognize the point that was being made by posting playoff records for two very successful quarterbacks. I hate to say it, but I absolutely abhor the attitude of fans that can not appreciate how successful our team is, or will be, because we lost a few playoff games.

It smacks of impatient childishness while simultaneously disregarding how great it is to have a franchise that is successful enough to make the playoffs consistently. If you can not appreciate that, or try to deny how great it is to have a consistently winning Falcons franchise, I can't say I understand your mindset at all. I really don't want to understand it, either.

Yep Ryans here everybody needs to deal with that, he has issues no doubt but barring a trade he is here 2 years minimum. Therefore up grade OL and OC

If you are so unhappy with the Falcons just become a fan of another team. There's a good chance that the Saints, Packers, New England or even the Broncos will win the Lombardi. Life is too short to be as miserable as you apparently are when you can find another team. I'm sure they would welcome you with open arms.

Headshot is probably an aints fan so just consider that. Of course the aints are still playing though.

I love the Falcons and to hell with anyone who doesn't!

RE: Has anyone seen the other board
ryan just needs a guy around him to say it's ok to throw into triple coverage when you have receivers that can go and get the ball. which brings up another point the falcons need an offensive coordinator that will take advantage of certain personel talents and mismatches

This is the primary thing. And certainly, throw it into single coverage, even if it's good...if your guy is 6'3 with a 40+ inch vertical.

That's required for the passing offense to open. Instead, the kid is coached to be superconservative and it hurts the whole game.
