RE: Has anyone seen the other board
That was me. Totally wouldn't care at all if Ryan was gone. Unless he's just magically going to sprout a ballsack.
Dude is a coward, plain and simple, with ZERO big game qualities who routinely shits his panties in the absolute biggest moments. Never cracked 200 yards in the playoffs, and infuriatingly speaks in the most cliched, mundane, bullshit way possible after a loss. The dude is a robot with no emotion, and even worse, no arm or sack for the game. His pocket presence, which was so good in his rookie year, is completely shot. He had Gonzalez for an easy Touchdown and pissed himself from phantom pressure and incomprehensibly ran out of the pocket. I nearly had an aneurism when right before the half, when we were throwing the Hail Mary, he got it to the fucking 12 YARD LINE. THE 12. What fucking chance does that give anybody? He's got a wet towel for an arm, shit for swagger, and has now become a headcase when standing in the pocket. He watches a lot of tape though. Prolly watching tape today. That's gotta count for something I suppose. |

RE: Has anyone seen the other board
Again with the what have you done for me lately nature of fans yeesh. I almost wish we would trade him so you can actually see how backwards retarded that statement is and have to live through life knowing you supported that. Or would you be like other fans who when they once realise that they in their infinite wisdom and definitive foresight concluded a top 4th year QB should be thrown out, bitch and moan like a dog in heat about the Franchise making a dumbass decision. Letting Matt walk at this age would be dumber than the Mike Vick scenario.

RE: Has anyone seen the other board
I can understand people being frustrated, but Matt Ryan is in Atlanta to stay. Offensive Coordinators can be swapped out on a whim.......franchise Quarterbacks cannot.

The dude threw the ball 60 yards in the air in January. Not sure what else you want. 0 big game qualities? Have you watched Atlanta the past 4 years? Seriously stop with the nonsense. Philly 2011 New Orleans 2010 Baltimore 2010 Green Bay 2010 NY Jets 2009 Chicago 2008 Just off the top of my head, but nope he doesn't show up in big moments at all. I'd be willing to bet you don't even remember half of these games.

No, and I'm not going to bother with it... unless I head over to ABF.

RE: Has anyone seen the other board
The thing is you can want Ryan gone all you want but it's just a fantasy discussion with no basis in reality. Matt Ryan is going to be the QB of the Falcons next season (and beyond), period. To me it's just bitching and moaning for the sake of it, it's pointless. Even so, I have yet to hear a single viable option for replacement. Like FullMetal said, go out there and see what is available, vomit then get back to me. Besides if I'm going to talk fantasy it's going to be about the girl in Beef's signature emerging from the computer monitor like a poltergeist from static.
Now, just to be clear, I see that Ryan has many flaws and has tons of room for improvement in many areas of his game. He must improve. I'm confident he would tell you the same thing. And I would be saying the same exact thing if we won the Super Bowl this year. The fact is, in year 8 I expect him to be better than he is in year 4. He improved in many ways this year. I'm very excited to see what he can do in a different scheme, hopefully one that's not run by Carl from Slingblade. |

Say he isn't top 10 that's fine, but he's easily top half of the league in terms of QB's. You don't just pick a franchise QB off a of a tree like it's a piece of fruit. You got a problem with Matt Ryan, that's fine he has faults like any player in the league. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, but you want to replace him? Mark Sanchez Chad Henne Ryan Fitzpatrick Andy Dalton Colt McCoy Blaine Gabbert Matt Hasselbeck Tim Tebow Matt Cassell Carson Palmer Rex Grossman Christian Ponder Josh Freeman Kevin Kolb Sam Bradford Alex Smith Tavaris Jackson That's 17 fucking QB's that were the starters for NFL teams this year. You want to gamble on that crop go right ahead and be a damn fool. I like my odds with Ryan. I even left Romo, Flacco, and Cutler off the list because those are debatable and I consider Ryan to be in the same tier with those guys.
