Learn to piece together a coherent sentence with some substance and you'll actually get more attention. Attention is clearly what you're looking for, after all. I mean what is the point of this thread? Ryan is our QB. That's not going to change. Eli in his 8th year with an incredible defense and a very good OL is not the same as Ryan in his 4th year with a horrible OL and a middle of the road defense. This is a team sport. Eli isn't winning these games by himself. Ryan hasn't lost games by himself. So what is your point? You don't contribute to anything on these forums worth a shit ever and only poke your head out of the hole when an opportunity presents itself to talk bad about some aspect of this organization and it's players. And then you try to make sure we understand you're "not being negative" by saying stuff like "I think he's good, but will never be elite like (insert random player who's team is making him look good)". As if we're too daft to see what you're actually doing. You want an answer to your question? How about Who gives a shit. Ryan is our QB. He's 24 years old entering his 5th year. He is way better than the vast majority of alternatives and we can win a SB with him if the rest of the TEAM can also play good enough to do it. Now go away, attention whore. We've given you more than you deserve. |

RE: Eli Manning, y'all still think Ryan is Better.
In my opinion, you're trying to compare apples to oranges. I know stats can lie, but here's something very basic:
304.2 vs. 413.7 That's the average yardage given up in Eli's playoff games vs Ryan's playoff games. Eli didn't go over 200 yards passing in a playoff game until facing Green Bay in 2007 and has only broken 300 once (again, against Green Bay in 2011). In the Giants 7 playoff wins with Eli under center, they have rushed for an average of 109.6 yards per game, the D has allowed an average of 14.9 points per game, and the Giants turned the ball over a total of 3 times in those 7 games. In 3 losses, the Giants have thrown for an average of 138 yards per game and been outscored 69-31. They's also turned the ball over 9 times in those 3 games. Now let's look at the Falcons. In 3 playoff losses, the Falcons have rushed for an average of 56.3 yards per game, thrown for an average of 174, and turned the ball over 7 times. The defense has given up an average of 295.7 yards pass per game and an average of 34 points. These are 2 very different situations. The Giants defense has been able to keep them in playoff games as Eli has steadily improved to elite status. When he couldn't throw, the rushing game was there to help the Giants win. For Matt, the running game gets shutdown in the playoffs and we've played 3 elite QBs that were able to expose the wholes in our defense. Put Ryan on a team that doesn't routinely give up 300 yards passing a game or Eli on a team that can't get after the QB, and I think you'd see very different results. The Man In Black

If thats your opinion i respect it, but Eli did throw some touchdowns this year in playoffs, and Ryan well....... |

Back then, it was "Ryan has peaked and is the 4th best QB in his division behind Freeman and Cam." Guess Ryan wasn't quite finished peaking, huh? Well, you may have been dead wrong then, but we can trust you this time, right? |
