RE: Eli Manning, y'all still think Ryan is Better.
We get a little too sensitive on the board sometimes. So...trig has been a Ryan detractor. So what? He asked a question....started a football conversation. Everyone has a number of options:
1. You can answer the question as you see it, and maybe use facts to support your opinion if you want to. 2. You can ignore the thread altogether. 3. You can complain tirelessly about the thread starter. For me, I choose to go with number 1. I like Matt Ryan, but in 3 playoff games he hasn't played a good football game yet. I would even argue that each playoff game he was less effective than the prior game. Until he has a good one, and I hope the new OC helps him do that, comparisons with the QBs who have gotten it done in the playoffs are always going to happen. You have the freedom to simply ignore those comparisons though if you want. |

As a fan i want nothing more than to be the sinner who gets his soul saved by Rev. Ryan, but he has done more pushing me away than bringing me to the light. |

Ryan's our QB and I stand behind him 100% regardless of stats. So I could care less about what other fans think when asked. Eli is a talented QB but will never have my full respect because of that draft day BS he pulled with his Father. The 9er's put him on his ass 6 times yesterday but he was better than Smith and capitalized on two botched kicks and field position. He got it done. |

So you better have something positive to say from time to time about somebody on the Falcons or you will get run from the board lol. |

i have said time andd time again
Ryan is a good QB, book mark this page. he is good. i am thiking ELI is ELITE. he was a warrior yesterday. he got the dog mess beat out of him, yet he hung in there ive seen ryan be tough as well, but i have seen his spirit broken when he gets battered. Eli not so much repeat ryan is a good qb.* *most qbs in nfl are good, thats how they got here |

ryan doesn't have the chip on his shoulder that eli has the comparisons to his brother etc. nor does he have the tom brady chip, 6th round pick everyone talking about aaron rodgers and drew brees. that's all ryan is missing. eli's an ok qb with insane luck.

you can go back through the story book of the NFL the last 8 years or so every quarterback has some sort of "chip" be it aaron rodgers with the brett favre, drew brees with all the water, kurt warner being older than dirt. tom brady being the qb of the most american looking team ever after 9-11. etc.

That strike he threw on 3rd and 15 yesterday to get it to 17-14 is about as good example as you will see. I think Ryan can get there. He needs his Offensive Coordinator to force him attempt some of those money throws, Mularkey never got Ryan away from checking down constantly in big games. |

By now, though, Ryan is probably starting to feel that chip. He's become the guy who can't win a "big game", whether it is fair or not. |
