Im sure his star appeal is a factor, that's obvious. But that really only benefits the team and the league. Ocho has nothing much to gain from this financially - nothing currently since he is getting paid anything. And the team he is playing with isnt that great or well known - like the LA Galaxy.

Ocho used to play soccer growing up, so this is more than a publicity stunt. He's in the twilight of his NFL career, there's no football now, so maybe he just wants to live a child-hood dream that never did. Let him do it if he can.
