Just leave out the fact that grimes nearly got beat by Morgan for the GW TD lol
good write up though Peyton. 3/4 teams we've played so far have gone screen crazy on us, negating our pass rush

A perfect pass would have been completed probably, but I don't think it would have been a TD. Grimes tripped over Morgan's foot as the ball landed so it's not like Morgan had that much separation on him. Also, the Falcons were in zone quarters there, not man, and Moore bit up on the TE. No harm, there are lots of plays like that in every football game. |

Yeah I know that the Ninners threw a lot of short passes, but the QB still had too much time to throw. That drive at the start of the 4th quarter where they kept making all those 3rd down conversions felt like a victory march. It just felt ominous with conversion after conversion. William Moore turned around the karma big time with that perfectly timed blitz. |

Obviously the 9ers watched film of how the Saints were killing us with those screens! - We have to fix that!
And we need to give Matt another option on blitz plays - Put Snellings back there and do a checkdown!

Good read Peyton:
I wish they would try this, put Coleman at Decouds spot. And keep Moore as SS. And also Petersen has played better theis year, you could tell the defense slowed down without Spoon in it. But i agree I would love to see, Spoon play petersons spot and Nicholas play where Spoon played just to see the speed of the young LBs. I love are LBS their fast as hell Funny I don't miss Brooking anymore period, He was SLOOOW like whale shit going down a iceflow.

I think he's made a couple of mistakes trying too hard to make a big play. hes still young, no player is perfect, and weighing the good hes done vs the bad? its a no brainer. decoud isnt going ANYWHERE. |

RE: OK, so it wasn't the ass kicking that we all expected.......
Great coverage and write up Peyton... wish Atlanta had a newspaper that covered the games this well. More reason for AFT to become successful. Lot of talent here.
I'm not sure why Dunta is playing so far off his man... to bait or disguise coverages? It has concerned me. I did find it amusing that Mora noted in the tv coverage that they were throwing at Dunta as if they liked the match up! Throwing deliberately at a teams number 1 corner. I'm not sure how many times they actually did but what does that say about Dunta... or Grimes? Tackling... Dunta doesn't seem to always wrap his man up very well...yesterday he tried to throw a ball carrier to the ground and was shaken and thrown off the play... fortunately more Falcons were around to take the man down. Then the very next play he makes a terrific hit! I think he's still getting used to the system and he's played well enough... he's had his four games now and I expect things will only get better.
