On that play, his knees kinda buckled like he was playing with a bad hamstring. It was pretty ugly from my viewpoint.

RE: OK, so it wasn't the ass kicking that we all expected.......
You know what, I'm actually happy this game wasn't an ass kicking. I've got a couple of reasons why:
  1. An ass kicking might have led to us getting a big head.
I know people would say Smith wouldn't allow it to happen, but I really don't think their would have been anyway to avoid it. I think the attitude of "Well, now we know we don't have to try as hard against lesser teams" could have permeated the locker room and caused us to have a let down game or two in the not to distant future.
  2. It's not the blowouts, but the close games that define you.
It's simple: good teams find a way to win. Whether that win comes against another good team, a mediocre team, or a bad team doesn't matter. The fact is they find a way, and that's what the Falcons did.
  3. This was my girlfriend's first football game.
I'm allowed one selfish reason. My girlfriend is not a football fan, but I managed to convince her to come to this game with me. Early on, when we went down by 2 scores, it was not looking good for us or my hopes of getting her to enjoy football. However, this one turned into a really good game. My girlfriend got really interested, asking me questions about plays, penalties, etc. By the time the Falcons kicked the game winner, she was jumping around as much as everyone else in the Dome.
