RE: Nicholas Wants to Be a Lion? WTF?
LMFAO at people thinking we can just plug someone from the 7th round into Nicholas' spot. We want an improved defense, right? Keep the guy.

Chuck Norris has spoken.

He is a solid player. Would like to have him around if at all possible to maintain depth and replace Peterson.

negotiating tactic.... "i'm gonna say outloud i think i might wanna go somewhere else, this way you'll offer me more money to stay"

if it's not and he goes, so be it. i personally got tired of seeing so many passes completed over the middle this year

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

I hope it's not true... I want him to start this year...

About the bold...

If that is the case I think you would want him to stay...

The only LBer who I would say is better in coverage than him is Spoon an I could easily be argued out of that position.

I'll try. Spoon literally allowed completions to 95% of the passes in his direction. He was hobbled, but still. Nicholas was great in coverage. I expect Spoon to come through this year... but dang.

Success Tongue

I really want him to stay / Start

a Defense that has LBers and DB's of

Spoon/Lofton/Nicholas

Grimes/Moore/Decoud/Robinson

I can live with that hell I like that...

All we will need is a little pressure from the front 4 and bam... Good defense

Also a Nickel... I've said it before all we need to add on D is a STUD DE, a nickel CB, and some depth generally around the D.

If we draft a nickel we need to get rid of another CB. Means giving up on Owens or Franks, or letting Grimes go. I have no clue what is wrong with Owens, but he still deserves another chance. Two games this year doesn't mean he needs to get replaced.

Yes, DE should be our top priority. No one can deny that, and really, it's been our biggest need for two years.

That is true I hope they both get another chance but damn we need one of them to produce...

And I am getting sick of being excited of getting a DE in the off season it's like the Falcons Version of the Brett Favre Retirement saga

We have refused to get a DE in FA or the draft for years.

Dimitroff DE moves:

Draft a 230 lb linebacker in the 5th round with an awesome name who will bang reality show whores.

Draft a D2 spin move artist in the 4th round.

That's 3 years. We cannot ignore the position anymore without my head exploding.
