RE: Nfl top 100
No Nobis means it's totally bogus, more 90210 based than football based. Glad I didn't waste my time watching.

Sanders rant about it was probably the best thing about it, he was biased but probably correct on a lot of points... I am also glad Jerry Rice was number 1 he is literally in his own category when it comes to his position |

RE: Nfl top 100
Something like this list is always about flash and PR. I still maintain that William Andrews was one of the 5 best all around running backs to ever play, but his body of work was cut tragically short from injury, plus he had almost no media coverage. People remember Gale Sayers, but never William Andrews. Andrews wasn't as flashy and didn't have a movie made about him and his roommate. Honestly the only running back I ever saw play who was as well rounded as WA31 was Walter Payton. The media doesn't remember how great he really was and he would never make such a list. Do his stats make him worthy of such an honor? If you go by a full career, then no, but if you look at his body of work year by year, then yes.

If by Hall of Fame, you mean in a framed picture over your bed, then yes. In which case, he's already there. Vick isn't going to the HOF, there isn't any rational way you can say he's going to the HOF. Maybe if he plays 5-6 more years straight, all of them Pro Bowl years, and wins a Superbowl a two. Right now though, it isn't even remotely close. |

Jerry Rice #1 is kind of shock. He was an awesome player don't get me wrong. But also felt that #1 should had gone to Johnny Unitas!

If Andrews played today he would constantly be fined and suspended for all the vicious hits on those poor defenseless tacklers. It's true just ask Ronny Lott about the hardest hit he ever took and he will tell you without hesitation that it came from William Andrews. If you're talking about the prison football team or the dog fighting hall of fame you may be right but if you really think he will end up in Canton you obviously have no idea how the process works. There is no way in hell he will ever get enough votes to be enshrined regardless of whether or not he deserves it (reality check, he doesn't). I've gone on record saying the HOF is a joke but there is no way they are this stupid. |
