New Starter In The Secondary
Well, new for this year anyway...Brian Williams takes all the 1st team nickel snaps 2day in practice and sends Chris Owens to the bench. I told you guys this was coming, Im just surprised it happened so fast. I dont care who starts, I just want some good playand a WIN!!

Thanks for the news. Not surprising at all, as Owens has been struggling terribly. I guess this means that Dunta is practicing fine?

RE: New Starter In The Secondary
So Brian Williams is starting in place of Owens this week?
Owens sucks. He needs a lot of developing before he can be a starting CB in the NFL. I like Brian Williams better back there, I think. I hope Williams still has his speed and instincts like he used to.

Yeah, he looked good today...not 100% but Id say about 85-90%. They probably told him to take it easy and ease back into things.

RE: New Starter In The Secondary
Giving up 17 completions out of 20 thrown your way, and not even tackling on top of that... yeah... God awful.

Well I will admit I totally wrong about Owens. I thought he was primed to start this year, boy was I wrong. Thank God grimes has been playing his ass off.

Hey, don't talk about our third round reach, I mean draft pick, like that!

RE: New Starter In The Secondary
Owens bites too much, gets faked out too much. He needs a LOT of coaching to get him starter-ready. He has all the physical tools, but his brain isnt where it needs to be as far as understanding The Position.
Brian Williams isnt the most physically gifted athlete, but he understands the mental part of playing CB. He doesnt get burned like rookies do. He knows where he needs to be on every play, even if his body cant get him there.
