I'm with you. A little disappointed that he did so poorly. I still think he might be a good CB in time, but he's clearly not ready yet.

Brian Williams isnt the most physically gifted athlete, but he understands the mental part of playing CB. He doesnt get burned like rookies do. He knows where he needs to be on every play, even if his body cant get him there.

I don't actually agree that he has the physical tools to play CB. He doesn't seem to be fluid in his hips or that agile. I think his future might be bulking up and playing safety.

Same thing was said of Jimmy Williams. We all know how that turned out...

Jerraud Powers was picked by the Colts 2 picks after Owens. That is all.

RE: New Starter In The Secondary
I am not giving up on Owens yet. He played well towards the end of last year, and has done decently as a nickel this year. He got his butt handed to him in our last game, though, no denying that.

I hope it's just a wake up call. All we need is for him to be a great nickel, and it seems to me he has more than enough raw talent for that. I think he has the talent to start on the outside for some teams, once he gets more experience ... though thankfully we don't need him to do so.

Thanks. I just see such a different spark when he's out there. Swagger.
