This dude is grasping at straws, searching for any kind of motivation to keep his head in a disaster of a season for his team. Its very similar to all the Saints talk about owning the division and not having a rivalry within the NFC South. I guess these last four games are a struggle for guys that are simply playing for their jobs.

Luckily, we are playing for something a bit more important and I don't think we need any extra motivation to beat the Panthers. The players can say what they want but what happens on the field is really all that matters.

Whether it is Brees trying to convince his team they are still the best team in the NFL, some lineman from the Panthers convinced that they are better than the Falcons, Matt telling someone to get off the fucking field after staging a late comeback, or Schiano trying to bring some attitude back to the Bucs; its just media fodder. I have never believed much in "billboard material" affecting the outcome of games, but there has been plenty of it in the NFC South this season.
