I know we had some racist a-holes when Vick was our QB, but Eagles fans take the cake. I've never seen anything so blatant.

If you thought AFMB was bad, try being an Eagles fan. That said, I don't feel bad for them. Worst fanbase in the NFL, save the Ain'ts.

I'm not allowed in the topic lol...but I'm a black guy, and even I fuck around always saying I'm happy we(falcons) gotta smart white QB instead of an athletic black one to my Carolina panthers friends...he calls me an uncle Tom, but I stand by it, I've seen it too many times in high school, you get you a kid with great athleticism and a deep ball and coaches stop trying to learn the subtleties in the game, just let em go out there and sling that rock while running around crazy. Too many don't understand the art of the step up, the side step, most get happy feet when leaving their first read, and aren't groomed to read a defense before or after the snap. And its not just black guys but athletic, big qbs in general...look at Tim tebow...just glorified running backs/receivers at the QB position

That's exactly it, it's kind of like an unintentional racism at worst, descrimination at least by attrition. A coach sees a young athletic QB, and immediately trains him to rely purely on his athletic ability and coasts off of that, instead of putting the work in to make him a well rounded player. It's pretty much laziness on the coaching staff, and it's really not fair to the player. A concept idiots like Rush Limbaugh can't understand. Race isn't the factor, it's prejudice. The assumption a black player is more athletic is the issue, not that one race is predisposed to be a prototypical NFL QB. I think the trend will be bucked over the next decade as the baby boom era coaches start to retire.
