RE: Which Team Has The Biggest Question Mark?
Some of you in here sound as daft as the talking heads. The Texans have had a stellar defense for 1 year. Just 1. Not several. That's not proven. And this year equally they are being tested at times. But don't talk to me about them being proven until they start ranking at the top for multiple seasons. Are they good no they are great. But to me proven means a consistent long standing threat to take a game away from you.
That's why I don't bitch and moan about us not getting respect after 5 winning seasons. It's only 5 on the trot a lot of growth but nothing else to show for it. You got teams looking for 3rd and more championships who take their lumps and struggle and eventually will get theirs. We need to get ours and then go take theirs while we at it. We play football like English gentlemen play cricket. Never wanting to offend anyone playing a good game. No, we need to beat people. Even in a close fought game. They need to know even if they eek out a win that it's gonna cost them. We had that physical edge once and we need it back because its a psychological weapon it sets the atmosphere for your team and for your fan base that even if no one takes you seriously you do. Stop talking about no respect because it won't get you any. Walk softly carry that big stick and bash every last head in till you are the last standing. If respect still seems hard to come by come back and do it again. We as fans need to grow past that lil brother seeking dad's approval even when we are doing better than our older brothers. Keep backing your fighter in the fight and when the fence sitters and detractors start wanting to cheer to say nothing. Just be proud you held to your conviction. |

Its the same exact science that they put into the BCS rankings. The same reason a lot of folks don't believe in Notre Dame right now and prediciting them to lose every weekend. I'm not a ND fan, but other than getting all their games shown on T.V. the media just doesn't respect them as a good team so far. The BCS was reluctant but FORCED to put them #1 because they are the only one left. But the reason for hatred is the PAST and GLAMOUR. The Texans past isn't so great but they have glamorous wins and stat sheets that look good. See the BCS amd Power rankings aren't all about winning, its looking giid while you do it. Good thing about it though, it doesn't fucking matter. They can rank us 50, but as long as we are making progress and ultimately winning the SB, then I'm good. Let's earn the respect fully and quit complaining. If we win the SB and they still do this shit, then I will join in. |

They don't believe us when we play well. They doubt us because we don't win "fashionably well" and we don't have a history that shows a winning culture. We just have to earn it. Win a Lombardi and continue to win consistently afterwards to show you're relevant and it wasn't a fluke. We'll get there! Patriots didn't have respect until recently |

RE: Which Team Has The Biggest Question Mark?
You know what pisses me off? The fact that once again the Texans do what the Falcons have been doing: Play a TERRIBLE game of football, and come out with the win. (All while benefiting from a bullshit touchdown call).
Yet, it doesn't matter, we will drop 2 or 3 spots on a day we earn a win in rankings, the Texans will stay #1. They almost lost to the damn Jaguars... THE JAGS.
