But give him some targets and some protection and he does well. I agree LT gave him a lot of options...but he wanted to keep LT....it was the NIMROD AJ SMITH who finally got fired that basically SHAT on LT (a terrible move in my opinion as he would have taken less to stay and work towards getting the numbers he wanted. Some would say the same of Turner taking pressure off Matt in the first couple of years...... I am simply saying he is better than most of the other QBs out there who need a Head coach if you want a chance to win....hell I think if he was in Chicago instead of Cutler....the bears would have likely made the playoffs. I don't think he was over-rated though....give him the same offense as Eli and he would excel. I think R13 sucks the big hog that guy is proof that an AVERAGE QB can when if surrounded by good players and a decent defense.......start taking his pieces away (IE Mendenhall being in the dog house and not playing) and R13 falls on his BIG FAT ASS! |

Rivers is constantly talked about as being a top 10 QB in the NFL. I don't see it. He makes too many dumb throws that results in interceptions and dumb plays in general for me to put him in the top 10. That's why I say he's overrated. ![]()

They are one in the same, weak me first QBs who give up when they don't get their way. Eli has a good offense now but when he won his first Super Bowl he was throwing to chumps and still putting up big numbers. Look at Brady for most his career he had Welker and Deon Branch and still won Super Bowls. Cutler got exactly who he wanted with Marshall and still failed to succeed. Rivers gets worse every year.he has no leadership skills. The chargers are better off blowing up the team and drafting a QB. Trade him to the Jets or Buffalo. |

The media gets on Cutler for his lack of leadership skills but Rivers is just as bad if not worst. The Ryan haters over on AMFB like to talk about how Ryan doesn't make the players around him better, even though that's complete BS. But Cutler and Rivers don't make the players around them better. They drag down the players around them. Both teams are loaded with talent but can't win because of the selfishness of their QBs. ![]()
