That was certainly stupid. Did you by chance catch the final play replay? How does the referee not call a penalty on the DB mugging the WR in his face?

I don't think there is some sort of Saints conspiracy though...just pointing plenty of miscues in that game that could have altered the game bc regardless of that draw play they were still able to be in great position to win.

Yeah, I was cursing Munchak's name at the sports bar. What a ridiculous playcall. That said, every person in the Aint's secondary was holding or throwing the receiver to the ground, I don't care if he got sacked, you have to call that as a ref. I don't believe there is some Ain'ts conspiracy (don't tell the Ain'ts fans that), but I do think that certain teams are favored, and viewed differently by the refs. I absolutely think that a Raiders player will get a flag far more times than an Ain'ts player will, and I absolutely believe that sympathy and an agenda for New Orleans to have success is part of it. If Dunta Robinson had been one of those corners, he wouldve got flagged. I hope the league takes notice of how dirty the Aint's play, and have the last few years, and start calling them for it.

I am sure the NFL will investigate the matter on the whistle blowing issue.. I highly doubt that it was coming from the stands, being in Tennessee... If it was someone on the Saints sideline however, I can imagine there will be some serious penaties...

Yes, there was a ton of contact in the endzone, but as soon as the QB left the pocket he becomes a runner and the defenders can make contact with the receivers without penalty, unless the ball is thrown. If thrown the contact cannot be made while the ball is in the air. The QB was sacked outside the pocket, therefore no penalties. Good, hard defense.

As for flags, the Saints had multiple TD's called back on ticky-tack calls.

Why couldn't it have come from the stands. Supposedly it happened when the Titans were on offense. A whistle would hurt the defense far more than the offense. Offensive players can keep playing through the whistle while defenders can be flagged for late hits if the whistle is real.

As for Harper, most of the fluff comes from his face mask call. I thought it was a good play by him. He was the last man to beat and he could only get a couple of fingers to the face mask to stop a sure TD. I'll take a 15 penalty over a TD any day and if you think of it that way, so would you.

I will guarantee you that if it was Grimes that saved a sure touchdown with a facemask call most around here wouldn't have a problem with it.

You must have never been in our chat room. What I think is bull shit is harper will get fined if he gets fined less than Kerry Meier did for his hit on the long snapper. It was a violent but legit hit. He got fined 20k for helmet to helmet. Utter bullshit.

Roman Harper is pure shit. Nothing but nasty dirty and a complete FUCKUP. He's first and foremost a piss poor football player, who couldn't play Safety or Linebacker, they've created this hybrid thing for him (good job by the DC realizing he's horribad) and he's getting artificially inflated stats simply because their front 7 couldn't tackle Matt Ryan as a running back. but Harper is a dirty scum bag piece of shit who does nothing but play dirty. He's the picture of what the NFL should be fining not awarding.
