Come on, that type of tackle occurs in every game every week. You are really reaching. I'm sure you can find the exact same kind of hits by your players. Did they have bounties on the player they hit?

To acknowledge that there was a bounty, but then to deny that said bounty was employed on your chief and only rival (we both know Tampa and Carolina don't count on this scale, this is an NFC WEST rivalry) is extremely naive.

Have you ever tried tackling Gonzo high? He'll run you over or carry you for an additional ten yards. The only way to bring down a player like Gonzo is to knock his legs out from under him. That has nothing to do with targeting a player. It has everything to do with trying to stop an almost unstoppable player.

The only bounties mentioned by the NFL were on four QB's. Four QB's who were heads and shoulder the key to their team's success. I'm sorry, but the Saints have had no problem beating the Falcons and putting a bounty on him would be useless.

Now I'm not saying there was or wasn't a bounty on Gonzalez BUT do you really think the only bounties y'all had were on those 4 QB's.

Actually I will answer that because its impossible. The bounty ran for the last 3 years. 2 of those were during the 2009 season and the other 2 during the 2011 season. So I'm sure there were some in the 2010 season possibly more during the other seasons.

Also I believe the NFL report mentioned those 4 QB's and said 'etc.' after it to indicate others involved. I could be wrong on that tho.

What they should have done is place a bounty on Marshawn Lynch or was it the other way around? Ahhh yea I had to put it in there. All in fun Guido

No, the pay for performance crap went on for three years. I don't believe for a minute that there were specific bounties every game and on multiple players. That's crazy. Yes, there were awards if any player was knocked out, although not many Saints would have collected on that, but not to the point of targeting specific players on a regular basis. Nobody has even implied that, including Goodell.
