The whole city is artificially built with the levee system and without that only the French Quarter and a couple of other areas would be dry and the rest would be a brackish swamp.

My bad. I'm from southeast louisiana. When someone mentions a swamp, I think they are talking about a swamp. I hunt and fish in honey island swamp which is a 70,000 acre SWAMP,a place that tourist (yes, even those from georgia) spend $$$$ to actually see real wildlife.Anyway, I'm not gonna change anyone's thoughts,so,...
