RE: The Land Shark
If Ray Lewis murdered the guy and the cops thought he did it, they would have went after him. Why wouldn't they want to go after a high profile guy like Lewis? Just like the guy Vick case, they gave all the other guys deals in order to bring down the celebrity kingpin of it all.

RE: The Land Shark
Exactly, they don't cut a deal with a kingpin just so they can get the lesser guys.

i ain't buying it, he was there, and only avoided charges by turning states evidence, agreeing to plead guilty to obstruction of justice and testifying against the other two guys. if there was nothing to hide, why the obstruction charges?

we'll never really know what evidence they had or didn't have because it didn't have to be released once his lawyers made the plea bargain, and it didn't go to trial. if you're innocent, you don't cop to a lower charge to avoid the trial to prove you're innocent. if they didn't have the evidence to charge him, he would have known it and wouldn't have dirtied his name by agreeing to be 'guilty' to anything.

but that's just my opinion, if someone else wants to idolize him that's their business

He plead guilty to obstruction of justice because he was guilty of obstruction of justice. There were like 100 witnesses to that fight and every single one of them knew that Ray Lewis was in the Limousine while the fighting was going on, and every single one of them testified to as much.

When those guys got in the limousine, Ray Lewis asked them what happened out there, and one of his friends held the knife and said, "Every time they hit me, I hit them back with this"

Then Ray Lewis told them all "Every just keep your mouth shut about this".

That was the obstruction of justice charge.

Enormous difference between Obstruction of Justice and Murder. Huge.

RE: The Land Shark
If you followed the trial, I mean really read the transcripts available, you'd know that Ray Lewis was doing what he could to avoid trouble that night.

The guys who got killed, those guys started the altercation, which is the main reason that nobody got convicted.

RE: The Land Shark
Either way you look at it, only in America can a man be ridiculously charitable and show countless acts of being a great citizen and role model for young athletes/children on the streets, yet still be blasted for a crime he wasn't convicted guilty of. The guy should be considered a saint for what he does with the kids in the slums.

Just a great thread topic turned to a complete shit hole of a discussion.
