So just because it's the Bills it makes what the Niners did unimpressive? 311 rushing yards and 310 passing yards in an NFL game? Something that had never before been done since the NFL started back in 1920? ![]()

RE: The Jets are Awful
If you honestly believe that Williams isn't worth that top dollar then I will take whatever you're on. I think he's just still adjusting to that defense, he'll show up.
And you can't talk about a team paying for a guy that hasn't produced, we DID give Edwards a pretty large amount of money and still are waiting for him to show up in Atlanta.

Edwards: 5 years/$27 million $11 mill guaranteed Williams: 6 years $96 mill $50 mill guaranteed but with stipulations Quite a difference there. |

RE: The Jets are Awful
Huge difference. All I'm saying is that quite simply, we overpaid Edwards so how can someone harp on what another team does in terms of overpaying. A player is always worth whatever a team wishes to give him. If Williams suddenly "gets healthy" and starts performing as he used to, this wouldn't make him worth it to you? I've always been a guy who's a big fan of winning games in the trenches. If you can hit the quarterback consistently, you can win a lot of football games.

The Bills were rated by many before the season started to have the best DL in the NFL and overall one of the best defenses in the NFL. But they've played just 5 games and have given up 48, 52 and 45 points in 3 of those games and let the 49ers do something that had never been done before in the NFL. ![]()

RE: The Jets are Awful
I'm not talking about their defense. I can read and see all the stats. I'm just saying it's too early with the Bills to know if they over paid for Williams. Completely new defense.
A player is only worth as much as a team is willing to give him. There were obviously more than one team offering him upward near 100 or the Billswouldn't have needed to give him that.
