RE: Thanksgiving Games

I like having football on Thursday as much as anyone. But every game this year played on Thursday sucked, they were poorly played cause of lack of preparation and fatigue. And it's a huge injury risk, is having football on Thursday worth the strain on the players? I don't think so. Everyone worries about concussions and other injuries but wants more games and games on Thursday. You can't have both. The Texans played on the 11th against the bears had an overtime game on the next Sunday (the 18th vs. the jaguars) followed by an overtime that Thursday (the 22nd against the lions) That's 3 games (2 overtime) in 11 days. That's insane, if it had been the Falcons we would've been tripping about it. Do away with Thursday games, we'll survive without Cardinals vs. Rams, Colts vs. Jaguars, or Chiefs vs. Chargers. These were three of our Thursday night games this year. Browns vs. Ravens, Dolphins vs. Bills, Bengals vs. Eagles, and Steelers vs. Titans are some others. Even us vs. the Saints was poorly played by both offenses. We won't miss those games I promise, the only people that will are the owners. Blank ain't bad but a lot of them are greedy and Goodell ain't too good himself. |
