I know you won't admit it if it were the case and of course you'll reply saying that you did know already, but I'd bet you had to google search the Rooney Rule and read up on it fully to find out if it included coordinators before you replied to me acting like you knew it didn't. They apparently have talked about adding coordinators to the rule, but it just hasn't happened yet. It looks like it will eventually though.

That said, I already mentioned prior to Drath even suggesting the Rooney Rule other reasons why they might have withheld the fact they already interviewed and offered Ryan the job. I said a page or so back that for the sake of the appearance of being prudent, they lined up additional interviews, so of course if they let it out of the bag that they had already interviewed Ryan and offered him the job, nobody else would have shown.

I mean heaven forbid they look imprudent and making hasty decisions without appearing to explore all options.

The hypothetical was so open ended that it lacked any logic given the rule didn't apply. And yes, I was well aware of the parameters of the Rooney Rule even prior to all of the press concerning its limitations over the past month. The fact that there were 14 GM and HC hires without a single minority hiring has made this a very high visibility story for the past few weeks. The fact that assistant HC's and coordinators weren't covered by the rule has been thrown out as the reason for few quality candidates for the GM and HC positions. I read dozens of NFL related articles every day. Few relevant topics get by me.

Well again, your credibility means jack shit here because of your history of over-the-top gross delusional homerisms, so as expected I knew you would claim you knew everything about this rule beforehand.

That said, there is still a fair chance that Payton had already interviewed Ryan no matter many times YOU think it's unlikely. I heard Payton say "again" and so did others here. La Canfora oddly called it nearly two weeks in advance. And of course, Ryan ultimately was hired.

Needless to say, there's a chance I was right and you were wrong just as much as visa versa.
