There's absolutely no possible chance they would have not told this to him? None, nada, zero chance?

And you're sayin that there's absolutely no possible reason that they would have had to not let anyone know they already interviewed and offered the job to Ryan beforehand? None, nada, zero?

Between the five Saints writers for the TP/Nola.com (Holder, Triplett, Hogan, Duncan and Varney) very little gets by them. There is always a chance, but based upon Loomis and Payton's history and Payton's statements after letting Spags go that they were going to be very deliberate in choosing the successor makes it extremely unlikely.

So you're just assuming and don't really have proof.

Thanks.

No, I am not assuming. There is a chance that you are actually 14 year old girl, but I am taking your word for the fact that you are truly a man. I am also taking the word of someone that has far more insight to the situation than you or I could ever have.

Is the sun going to rise tomorrow? We can either assume it will rise, or we can base the fact on historical support and expert validation. You seriously have a problem if you feel the need to argue silliness like this.

So, your "formal" thought on the cause of the blackout was "just as I figured?"

I see Saints and Saints Fans use the same logic.

Right, so you still don't have 100% bona fide without a doubt proof.

Thanks.

No I don't, which doesn't make it incorrect. On the other hand, your claim that the Saints were covering up a violation of the Rooney Rule was 100% bona fide without a doubt proof that you were wrong given that the Rooney does not apply to coordinator hires. Or did you forget that fact?

Nobody that has ever posted anything, including you, has 100% bona fide without a doubt proof that what they posted is true. Does this board suddenly require that degree of support or is it just you trying to show your ass? I tend to lean toward the latter.

You are the worst troll on this site.

Nope. I am dropping this idiotic subject. I was foolish enough to let Beef's trolling get the whole OP's thread off-topic.

To be fair, this thread was shitty from the start since it's about the saints. It didn't really matter which Saints tangent it ventured off to since it was pretty butt pirate from the get-go.

So yeah, there's that.

When I referenced the Rooney Rule, I clearly started the sentence off with "If" and later "..., for instance,", which obviously says I was giving an open ended hypothetical.

I know you won't admit it if it were the case and of course you'll reply saying that you did know already, but I'd bet you had to google search the Rooney Rule and read up on it fully to find out if it included coordinators before you replied to me acting like you knew it didn't. I know I don't go around memorizing every rule this sport has. That doesn't interest me and would be boring and a waste of my time.

They apparently have talked about adding coordinators to the rule, but it just hasn't happened yet. It looks like it will eventually though.

That said, I already mentioned prior to Drath even suggesting the Rooney Rule other reasons why they might have withheld the fact they already interviewed and offered Ryan the job. I said a page or so back that for the sake of the appearance of being prudent, they lined up additional interviews, so of course if they let it out of the bag that they had already interviewed Ryan and offered him the job, nobody else would have shown.

I mean heaven forbid they look imprudent and making hasty decisions without appearing to explore all options.
