Okay, I found a story that quoted Payton as saying "again" in reference to the Ryan interview.

New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton said Wednesday morning he expects to wrap up his search for a new defensive coordinator “within a week.”

Payton said he’ll bring in between two and four candidates to be interviewed for the opening created when he fired Steve Spagnuolo after just one season on Jan. 24.

Now, here is another story with the EXACT quote from the Mike & Mike interview:

Payton told ESPN Radio's "Mike and Mike" program that the process to find a successor for the fired Steve Spagnuolo is ongoing, but said, "I think within a week, we'll have a firm decision on that.

"We're going to bring in two to three candidates," Payton said. "I think we'll know in a week. Much was reported about Rob Ryan, and he's going to come in and interview here at the end of this week. We'll have, I'd say, at least between two and four candidates."

The second version is indeed what he said on the taped interview I posted earlier.

The author of the first version heard "again" when Payton clearly said "at the end" as the tape verifies.
