RE: Saints Lose, Fall to 5 Games Back With 5 To Play
Just thought of something.

Seems currently, WE control the Saints destiny.

See Exhibit A

WEEK 17
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Sun, 12/30 at 1:00 PM EST
Home: Georgia Dome

If the Bucs keep rolling like they have been, then we could possibly play our backups and allow Tampa to win. This would in turn seal the Saints fate.

I don't see the Bucs or the Saints losing any more than 2 games the rest of the year.

Saints will probably end 8-8.
Bucs 9-7, thanks to the freebie called week 17.

Don't care , I hope Brees pulls a Joe Namath at the hands of Abe. Brees is probably the dooshiest most selfish stat padder to ever play the game. I hope the game itself gets the last laugh on the little dooshbag.

Unfortunately you're right. I couldn't come up with a scenario where the Saints go 10-6 and don't make the playoffs. The Seahawks really blew it by laying an egg against the Dolphins and now having their starting CB's suspended for 4 games each. If both the Seahawks and Saints finish at 10-6 the Saints get the tiebreaker. Sad

There is something wrong here. I don't see your picks.

Giants lose 4 of 5 and miss the playoffs? Really? I think it is more likely that the Giants ruin both the Redskins and the Saints playoff chances by winning their next 2 games. After that is doesn't matter what they do against the Ravens and Falcons (although they will certainly beat the Eagles in week 17.)

And this is why I am still feeling good, well at least as good as you can feel six days after surgery, Big Grin

The Saints played good enough to beat the 49ers had it not been for the two pick sixes.

That wasn't my playoff predictions because I don't think the Saints will finish at 10-6. I was just saying if they go 10-6 there's no way to make them miss the playoffs unless the Seahawks win out and that's not happening.

On the bright side, Brees threw for 5 touchdowns!

Think about this sentence for a second.
