Does it not make since that when Payton was shown this email for the first time that he might say that it referred to a bounty, but that it was not a real bounty but an ongoing joke? At that point Goodell possibly had his mind made up and knew that by punishing a team for systematically injuring opponents may weaken the case against the league over the concussion issues.

Even if we could believe what Goodell stated that Payton said, it still doesn't give any proof whatsoever of a bounty system.

I promise you that I'm not trying to be offensive when I say what I am about to say. I am certainly just being very truthful when I say this.

This is by far the dumbest shit I have read from you. Falconidae asked ONE SIMPLE QUESTION. Where is the statement from Sean Payton saying that he never read the email and also an explanation of an ongoing joke?

But instead of providing that statement you write a response full of blank assumptions. What in the hell? I will try again for him. Here we go again and let's see if we can get this right.

Another question and I hope you don't ignore the whole post just to answer the part of the post you feel you have an answer to.

But if this was an ongoing joke as Ornstein claims and there were other emails, then why didn't Payton just say that or are you just gonna assume that he did and Goodell didn't put it in the statement?

Alos since I already know that you're gonna assume that he did advise it was an ongoing joke, then why didn't Payton come out with a statement on his own advising that he mentioned it was a joke and Goodell didn't provide his full statement?
