Mike Cerrulo may just be disgruntled (bet you guys are wishing you would have just given him a real superbowl ring....eh?) Unfortunately it is all speculation, but I don't see a coach taking a yearlong suspension and a DC maybe being indefinitely suspended going away quietly if there wasn't at least some partial truths to what went down....Payton lost millions (paying a lawyer to fight it would have been far cheaper!) He has a lawyer that was there with him. That lawyer obviously told him what all of the legal experts in the media have been saying. "There is nothing we can do. You weren't potentially defamed as Vilma is claiming. You have no CBA that has been potentially violated as the other players are claiming. There is nothing we can do at all. I'm sorry, but you can only hurt your chances of being reinstated if you try to raise a stink with no grounds to stand on. I suggest we wait to see what the NFLPA and Vilma's lawyer can do and maybe that will give us a later avenue for restitution. Until then, enjoy the kids and the ladies now that you are free." If one could completely wipe the slate and look only at that which has or could be verified and ignore all of the incorrect statements and conjectures that came out in the beginning of this jumbled mess they might come to a far different opinion. No problem. Unlike some here, I can admit when I'm wrong.

Sean Payton contract talks expected to begin soon; New Orleans Saints GM Mickey Loomis still confident
By Mike Triplett, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune on November 29, 2012 at 3:43 PM, updated November 29, 2012 at 3:46 PM From all indications, there still have not been any substantive contract talks between the New Orleans Saints and Coach Sean Payton. But General Manager Mickey Loomis said Thursday that he's "not anticipating any obstacles to getting a deal done." Loomis declined to discuss any specific details about the contract talks or if they have begun. But according to league sources, the talks were delayed for a while because Payton and agent Don Yee wanted to receive specific written permission from the NFL to negotiate with the Saints. The NFL gave the Saints permission about two weeks ago. And a league source said they have since given Yee permission as well, but it's not clear exactly when. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday that the NFL and Yee are "finalizing conditions under which" Payton and the Saints can negotiate while the coach is under suspension and barred from having any other contact with the team. Schefter said once the NFL and Yee agree to those conditions, the Saints and Payton are expected to commence discussions, according to a NFL source. ______________________________________________ Clearly, neither the Saints nor anyone on Payton's side trust anything that comes from the league these days and are demanding that nothing concerning any negotiations can hamper Payton's reinstatement. Gregg Williams signed a document admitting the Vilma $50k so I'm unsure of where you got info that Cerullo is the only one who admitted to this. I posted a lot of these findings a few pages back.

First of all, Cerullo never mentioned $10,000 (not $50K, not sure where that came from) and Gregg Williams said he wasn't in the room but was told that Vilma offered $10,000 and that he never saw the money. Cerullo said he collected the "two five stacks" and gave them to Williams. Either or both are lying. I believe that Cerullo lied to everyone and Williams just stated what he was told. Check back through all of the findings. I know what I am talking about. Saints Fan Since 1967

I meant 10k...typo. Also you BELIEVE that Williams just stated what he was told, which is retarded btw. Anywho, it still doesn't deny the fact that Williams has also admitted to the bounty. You stated earlier that he didn't. Once again don't use opinion as fact. |

They delayed contract talks with Drew, and now they are delaying with Sean? What better does this asshole have to do then those two deals?
Whole organization is rotten, and watching it die on the vine this year has been fun. Formerly SBC Falcon

He said it was a pay for performance program which he admitted was against the rules and he was wrong for running it. He claimed the alleged bounty (singular) was not part of his program and he had no further knowledge of it and never saw or received any money for it. Unfortunately, all individuals attending the appeal hearing the past two days have been ordered to remain completely silent by Tagliabue on any of the proceedings. Yesterday it was Cerullo being grilled for nine hours. Today Williams was in there for about five hours. Saints Fan Since 1967
