Do you seriously believe that Goodell recused himself from the case after all of his high and mighty gesturing? No way. He was ordered to recuse himself and we all know only the owners can do that. And don't think that Benson had nothing to do with it. And I would expect that they also ordered him to "select" Paul Tagliabue as the Hearing Officer to take over in his stead.

Goodell screwed up BIG time in this whole affair and the owners are not happy about it.

Actually the Saints continuing a bounty program when the were ordered to stop are the ones who screwed up. Maybe now all of the players who "snitched" will be named.

You can't stop something you did have going on. There was no bounty program to stop.

And there was only one "snitch" and he is a documented liar, Mike Cerullo. He is the only person that has reported he had any knowledge of any bounty and he has yet to be cross-examined to explain why he isn't lying this time and why his story doesn't match Greeg Williams' version at all.
