RE: Saints Bounty Thread
Yea I would agree that it is more so an opinion instead of a ruling. But it is based off of the testimonies and evidence. This process just longer and uglier tho. We will see what happens.

RE: Saints Bounty Thread
After reading more, this ruling means nothing really. To the people that don't read it will look like the NFL lost, but all they are saying is that they were confused as to who the arbitrator is based on the language of the CBA.
So to get a ruling they used caution until that piece of information is cleared. Once cleared then either Goodel is the arbitrator and his ruling stands or someone else is the arbitrator and will decide if the ruling stands, will be reduced, or removed altogether. So right now this means absolutely nothing. It could potentially mean a lot though based on how they determine the language is in the CBA and who is arbitrator. My question is....who determines what the language meant? Who is that left up to? |

What I have seen of the first string has the feront four putting on much better pressure, greatly improved at LB with Lofton and Hawthorne and much more playmaking ability at the backfield with Spag's zone. They may not be top five, or even top ten, but all they need is top 16 with what should be the top offense in the league yet again to make major damage. Saints Fan Since 1967

That's what I got from it as well. They didn't say anything about actual bounties, just that its unclear who has the authority to be arbitrator. The suspensions could go into affect some time around when the falcons and saints play. The Man In Black

Well Payton is out for the year and as we have learned "Kill the head and the body dies!"
I love the Falcons and to hell with anyone who doesn't! |

RE: Saints Bounty Thread
After hearing Brees statement....either he doesn't understand the reason for the ruling or he is clearly using the fact that people are gullible and won't read whats really going on against them. It sounds like his statement is a PR move to get people on the Saints side.
I'm pretty sure he understands fully that this ruling has absolutely nothing to do with "justice being served." |

You're gonna need more than top 16 when you run into another juggernaut offense like yourselves. It can get you to the playoffs but a key injury to the offense messes you up. Or even just meeting a confirmed juggernaut in GB. A potential juggernaut in Dallas, Philly, or Atlanta could pass by you as well. Just asking for a mediocre defense is extremely naive and ultimately may be your demise. Be careful what you wish for. It didn't even take a juggernaut offense to bring you down last year. Altho I know your defense wasn't top 16. I think yall were 24th. Can't recall |
