RE: Saints Bounty Thread

He was using it on over 3000 players that have filed suits against the NFL over the league's disregard for the safety of players. Goodell grasped upon the claims of a disgruntled ex-coach named Mike Cerullo back in 2010 claiming bounties on Favre and Warner. After investigation the charges were not able to be substantiated and the investigation was dropped. Goodell went to Saints GM Loomis and told him if there were bounties going on they must be stopped. Well, if bounties weren't going on there wasn't much to do, huh? Then, in January 2012 the shit hit the fan with those lawsuits against the league. Great time to reopen the case against the Saints. Note that it is documented that there were absolutely no investigations at all against the Saints between February 2010 and January 2012. This is not about four player or three coaches or one GM or the Saints. This is about over 3000 former players and BILLIONS of dollars in liability. You can't tell me that Goodell and his flunkies are beyond throwing a few innocent players under the bus to "PROTECT THE SHIELD". Yes, something ugly IS likely to appear if Goodell is forced to answer questions under oath. But not what you are expecting. Saints Fan Since 1967
