NFL Saints Bounty Thread

RE: Saints Bounty Thread
You don't seem to get it Guido! The arbitrators have ruled that Goodell has the ultimate power to discipline players and you realize that he does not have to tell the players squat.

If Goodell says you are guilty, you can appeal to him and you are still guilty. The Saints are getting what they deserve and nothing you or any aint's fans say does not matter.

Maybe when Goodell finally meets with the players he willl add some suspensions to some other players involved. After all the NFLPA told the players to not meet with Goodell earlier.

I love the Falcons and to hell with anyone who doesn't!

RE: Saints Bounty Thread
I with Drathdon because all these articles mean nothing. The media hasn't "realized" anything about being duped. The only person claiming this is Times-Picayune and Mike Florio. That's your media I guess.

They did it....move on. Otherwise I will continue to enjoy you going crazy over it.

Honestly this thread means nothing...the players and coaches will remain suspended. You won't get to see all the evidence. Previously you claimed all the evidence was given, then there came more and yet again you claim there isn't anymore evidence. So there is a cycle going on here and it's crazy that you have yet to see it and you possibly never will which is sad to say the least. Good luck in making the Saints look innocent on a Falcons message board.

Where's the evidence on this... now you are using heresay?

Show me the proof Goodell threatened anyone with banishment from the league if they didn't keep their mouths shut!

For one thing, that article was written well after the league handed out its punishments, so it shouldn't have had any bearing on the punishments handed out by the league (the same goes for a recent essay written by filmmaker Sean Pamphilon that the NFL included Friday).

The post punishment/suspension evidence would be included/presented in the appeal process and must from what I understand therefore be shared.

They (the NFL) must feel it validates prior evidence.

Sad things is they are trying to deny Shanle's admittance of it. He admitted to it. All he said was that it wasn't as bad as the NFL is making it out to be but Shanle admitted to the cartoffs and confirmed the contents of the ledger

Guido - EVERY defense lawyer will look right at a smoking gun in their clients hand and claim it doesn't mean anything. Quit using Vilma's lawyer's quotes as "proof" of their being no evidence. You are just ignoring it like he is.

Those 200 pages are evidence enough to prove what the league wants to prove... that they have the right to suspend these players. They do not need to drag out all the dirty laundry just to please you or the players.

You are only parroting the words of the defense. Of course you and they will claim no evidence... they always will whether there are 200 pages or 2000. It's what "defense" means - to deny the opposition's claims.

It is the players trying to use the media to paint a new picture here. The NFL has their proof, has made their judgment, and wants to move on. The players would be smart to do the same.

The players KNOW they are guilty. They just want to push the issue whether you can prove it or not. Ray Lewis got off. So did OJ (once) because of the inability to "prove without a shadow of doubt" their guilt. Problem is, this is not a courtroom, but a business decision not held to the same standards. Would Vilma get convicted of this in court? Probably not. Should he get suspended for a year by the NFL for it? Yep!

The player know that they are NOT guilty of participating in a bounty program. There were no bounties. Goodell has not shown any proof of bounties because it does not exist. He simply twisted a run of the mill pay for performance pool that exists throughout the NFL and made it out to be some sort of bounty program.

Explain why he presented ZERO evidence of Vilma offering $10,000 to teammates to injury Favre and Warner. THAT is what Vilma was accused of doing, yet, there was no evidence presented preceding the appeal sham today that showed that that actually happened.

You don't get it. The CBA demands that Goodell share all evidence to be used in the appeal hearing to support his discipline. So, yes, he DOES have to tell the players squat.

Of course, it is impossible to share evidence that doesn't exist. There was no bounty program as claimed.

Of course they will remain suspended. But, they will continue to fight to clear their names because there was no bounty system as claimed.

And, all of the evidence of there having being a bounty system was already shared weeks ago. The was the emails from Ornstein joking about a bounty. And there was a declaration from Hargrove that didn't mention anything about a bounty system existing. Then there was a tape of Gregg Williams being Gregg Williams that once again did not support the existence of a bounty being placed upon an opposing player as originally claimed.

Nothing that has been shared since then has proven that there was anything more than a pay for performance pool going on. Nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
