The entertainment value of his posts are derived purely from his terminal homerism. Can't wait to hear how he spins this one. No spin necessary. It was dumb and they got caught. Now the nasty little secret is out of the bag. The problem the league will have with laying down the penalty is that is has to be something that can be done evenly across the league as the rest of the team that are doing the same get exposed. RE: Saints Bounty System
Saints fans are making excuses and twisting themselves in knots everyone all over the internet now. Face it the Saints are fucked and are going to get th stiffest penalties every levied against a team.
Not only did the Saints do the Bounty thing for years, they were caught before and told to stop and didn't. Goodell is going to make an example out of them for that fact alone. Then you have the issue of this money going around salary cap rules and then the player not filing taxes for this money and you have a snowball effect that is going to skull fuck the Saints for years to come and taint there latest Run. This shit is going to make the Vick crap look like a day at the park. Vick was a lone criminal in our organization and it brought about us wiping everything clean. The Saints issues goes from the GM all through the coaching staff and down to all the players. They are fucked all of them plain and simple. |

RE: Saints Bounty System
I think someone from another forum broke it down best.
FACT: Gregg Williams orchestrated a "pay for injury" bounty system FACT: Everyone in the Saints organization knew about it, including the GM and Head Coach FACT: when the NFL originally investigated everyone denied it FACT: everyone lied While people's view on a players motivation as a result of a bounty or your belief that bounties are just part of football varies, your opinion doesn't matter. The major issue is no longer the presence of a bounty program, the bigger issue is everyone lied to the commissioner and his office. Oh, and the NFLPA is recording all of your mean tweets toward its members. These guys are going to and should be made examples out of.

RE: Saints Bounty System
How do these bonuses work against the cap then or are you allowed to pay players, secretly or otherwise, bonuses without effecting the overall cap????

RE: Saints Bounty System
Speaking of how these payments worked against the cap...I wonder how they work as reported income for tax purposes? Hey...someone contact the IRS and inform them that there may have been a large amount of unreported income by aints players.

The Bounty programs are run by the players. It is their own money from kangaroo court fines and such. They also add money to the pot to be eligible for the payouts. First fumble recovery gets $250, first interception gets $500, first sack gets $750, etc. This is called "pay for performance" and is against the rules, of course. Saints Fan Since 1967
