NFL Russell Wilson should be ROY.

Russell Wilson should be ROY.
I had no idea, until late last night, that Russell Wilson tied Peyton Mannings touchdown record yesterday. That's pretty awesome if you ask me. The guy wasn't even supposed to be the starter when he was drafted and he ended up winning the competition amongst QBs for the starting job.

Along with that extremely tough defense, he has led the Seahawks to an 11-5 record. Hell, he's actually made the offense relevant now. People are actually worried about the Seahawks now and they should be. Without Wilson, they don't get this far.

People can't argue about his supporting cast either. If anyone thinks that Sidney Rice, Golden Tate and Doug Baldwin are helping him out any, they're nuts.

If Wilson isn't named rookie of the year, I'll be astounded. I know RG3 put up great stats and is right there with him, but he hasn't done what Wilson has done. Neither has Andrew Luck.

He had a pretty great rookie season, so did Luck and RG3. All three are in the playoffs. Remember when Flacco and Ryan did it it was unprecedented now it seems like par for the course. I wonder of the 3 which will have the better career. History dictates that one or more will fail over time, of course history can be thrown out the window with this group.

RG3 will battle injuries his entire career, unfortunately. That's something everyone who watches and knows football should realize.

Andrew Luck will always be a pretty good quarterback, but playing in the shadows of Peyton Manning won't be easy. He's going to need to play way better than he did this year if he's going to be anything special for the Colts.

Russell Wilson however, has done a lot with very little. He's a pocket passer, but he can run the ball. Undersized, but that shouldn't hurt him too much.

Honestly RG3 has a better WR corps but only barely or very slightly. The only reason is because of Garcon but mind you Garcon was injured for more than half the year.

Also Marshawn Lynch is better than Alfred Morris by miles. Dont get me wrong...Morris has had a great year but he isn't Lynch.

Also Seahawks have a significantly better defense than the Redskins do.

It's certainly not as clear cut or hands down as you think it is. I wouldn't mind Wilson winning it but RG3 deserves it just as much if not more.

They put a lot of milage on Morris this year. Rookies rarely run that much in the NFL. He had 335 carries this year and 732 carries in college. That means he has over 1000 carries in the past 5 years. That doesn't bode well for a feature back. I don't wish him badly but 1000 carries at age 24 he will probably start breaking down in 3 years.

Which is a staple of Mike Shanahan. That's the reason he's always had a revolving door at RB in his coaching career, it's because he runs these guys into the ground and they end up getting hurt and they're outta the league as quickly as they came. I didn't realize how quickly Terrell Davis was out of the NFL after he carried the Broncos to back-to-back Super Bowl titles.

1995 - 237 carries
1996 - 345 carries
1997 - 369 carries
1998 - 392 carries

The human body can't handle that kind of work load. And unfortunately TD broke down after 1998 playing in only 5 games in 1999, 5 games in 2000 and 8 games in 2001 and he was out of the league after that.

You can say the Falcons did the same thing with Jamal Anderson but even his work load was light compared to Davis. Aside from 1998 Jamal didn't have a season with more than 290 carries.

As far as the ROTY goes it's hard to over luck Andrew Luck. The Colts went from 2 wins to 11 wins. You can say he didn't have as good of numbers as RG3 and Russell Wilson but he was playing with the worst supporting cast of the 3. Aside from Reggie Wayne the rest of the offense was full of rookies and 2nd and 3rd year players and they still managed to have one of the better offenses in the NFL. His defense wasn't as good as Wilson's and probably not as good as the RG3's. Also I just looked it up. The Colts finished the season with 15 guys on IR.

Oh I agree. If you asked anybody who they would take, then I think Lynch gets majority

Can't argue with Luck but I wouldn't vote for him over the other two aforementioned. Luck's receivers are better than both....having Reggie Wayne alone makes them better

Hard to argue with anything else tho...

RE: Russell Wilson should be ROY.
RG3 missed a game and part of 2 others. When people say it's tough to call, that should knock RG3 out of contention.

Luck did more with less. Luck is my winner, hands down.
