Second, it must be nice to be a fan of a team where any given player or coach is not at all needed to win games until that exact week in which they happen to return from injury/suspension.

How did the Saints' defense do earlier in the season when Casillas and Greer were in the lineup, anyway?

And just what is the Saints' record against Tampa Bay in the Payton era? Do they even have a winning record against the Bucs? It sounds like you have already marked this one down as a win.

Sorry, a typo. As for Casillas and Greer, I'm not sure there has been a game they have both played in. They have both been nursing injuries suffered in the preseason.

The Saints have a 6-6 record against the Bucs in the Payton years, although given the fact that the Saints have a 10-2 record against the Falcons over the same stretch one would hope as a Falcons' fan that those records were irrelevant.

Wink

Oh, and I would think that if the staff felt Graham was that vital for their chances he would have played.

Of course. And if the Saints lose, I'm sure you won't say that it was because they didn't have Graham and then later cite his return as a cause for optimism the way you are doing now with Greer, Casillas, Vilma, et al.

BTW, Greer and Casillas played together during a two-game stretch in which their defense yielded a total of 62 points and 774 yards to their opponents. I'm sure the Bucs are quaking in their boots over their impending reunion on the field of play.

Or maybe he's too injured to play??? You don't leave Jimmy Graham out when you're 1-4.

If you had the choice to rest a player to ensure a longer healthy year, maybe you would.

The year is now. If they are really thinking this way ots because they are taking the Bucs lightly, but I'm positive its just really because he is actually injured

Of course he won't because if the saints lose, his business will suddenly pick up and he won't have time to post.

Told you the Saints would struggle with the Bucs. Never said the Bucs would win but that it would be a battle.
