Brees did same thing...argued over like 1.5 Mil a year, finally signed then offered to help jeep some of the guys he wanted to keep....just really weird in my book.

Sign the rookie deal.
Get paid on next contract
Then restructure or look for a better deal with a team with a better outcome (potential super bowl or closer to home)

Ryan already got paid but to keep up with the QB deals he will get paid again. In three years he will restructure so that we can keep some of the pieces together then get extended at the end of the deal to retire a Falcon.

It's all so silly.

Most of these QB's are going to get their money. Restructuring does not mean reducing the amount for which they were contracted. It means rearranging the payment schedule along with more guarantees and/or an extension.

Flacco did not offer to cut his pay. Neither did Brady. Restructures ALWAYS help the player more than the team.

RE: Romo
Actually Guido I will have to look for the link (not sure if I can find it, was a pretty small article and about a week Later Bolding was traded). Like 2 days after Flacco signed he offered to "help out" to resign Boldin to what he considered was a well deserved contract.....I only remember because I was like WTF!

Then as far as Brady was concerned he didn't make the offer, just said he was upset they didn't ask him as he felt there was something he could have done (for Brady I truly believe this was all show more than anything)

I don't doubt you, but it is usually a media member than doesn't quite understand the way it works that interprets it as a "pay cut".
