People seem to forget the regular refs made the exact same calls and mistakes! Show me any mistake and I can show you a game before where the real refs did the same or worse.

People hate refs, and blame every bad call... only now they do it behind the guise of Replacement Refs. Return the regular guys to the field, and it will be just as bad. I think this story is much ado about nothing.

People complaining about the Denver guy coming out of the pile with the ball... that happens all the time. Once the call is made, the players of the winning team let go and get up, and the other team still fights for the ball thinking they will change the ref's call... happens all the time. That is crap, and was our ball. Sure Spoon might have stole it in the pile originally, but last I checked, that was legal in football.

You're right. We would be complaining about the refs still. The problem is all the cheap, dirty hits that these refs have let teams get away with.

while these refs fuck up a bit.. they don't show favoritism

the 'aints arent getting handjobs from katrina with these guys.. and for that i say keep em.

I agree with that part. They aren't biased towards the Saints, Patriots, ect. They call the games the same on both sides. That and how they have let the defenders and receivers get away with a bit more contact are the only things I like about them. They fail miserably in every other area including controlling the game. They can't even spot the football correctly after penalties.

You are a bit off on that part. According to a report I heard earlier this week pass interference calls are way up under the replacement refs. All other calls are pretty much the same. Roman Harper got called in the endzone on a key 3rd down play in the Redskins game that all of the commentators and Mike Pereira said was clearly a blown call.

What's really annoying to me is guys like Pereria are all over the new guys but rarely if ever had criticized the old guys. Him in particular, he's just cheer leading for his own fraternity, giant douchebag.

While the new guys suck at least there is a chance they could get better (a small chance but a chance nevertheless). The old guys were/are never going to change. Pure arrogance along with incompetence is why I really don't miss them.

I completely agree. Each network has their own NFL ref guy who they get on TV to bash the replacement refs but nobody dared said a word about the regular refs.
