Replacement Ref Replaced
Replaced at least in part because he is a dumbass and a saints fan (redundant I realize).

RE: Replacement Ref Replaced
Not a big deal.

Even the other refs are partial as well. It's nothing new.

RE: Replacement Ref Replaced
I agree, not that big of a deal. However, his friends look like tools telling him to go easy on the Saints. Of course they are Saints fans which inherently makes them tools.

More Aints cheating... nothing to see here. Tongue

Seriously, every ref does have a team they root for (or did), but this guy not telling the league he was a fan (who wore team colors to team tailgating events) and talking about his fandom before a game was sketchy as hell. The NFL is lucky ESPN found his facebook page before the game! What a tool. No wonder he is an Aints fan.

yep, what a total idiot to list himself as an NFL referee, then put his pics up with his team gear on and proclaim his fandom. LMAO so glad they found him out before the game, and i'm loving them losing.

so exactly how many weeks count as "a few" i'm wondering at what point in time this is going to all blow over

Oh, it's blown over already. I mean really, when is this last time you heard any talk about the bounty scandal?

BTW, anybody want to give odds of when Guido shows up first, when the Saints win a game or when we lose.

that's an easy call flag, we'll lose one before they win one the way it's looking right now Big Grin

RE: Replacement Ref Replaced
These replacement refs are a fucking joke. Watching both the Redkins/Rams games and Jets/Steelers games today was awful. There were so many fucked up calls and no calls and calls made that shouldn't have been made. It was ridiculous! And then the amount of time it took for them to get these calls wrong was fucked up too.

The regular refs aren't great but they are much better (save for the homer calls for the Saints and Patriots) than these shitty ass replacement refs.

I mean that dumbass Goodell wants to talk about player safety yet in the Redskins/Rams game the Rams were taking all sorts of cheap shots and there wasn't the first flag.

RE: Replacement Ref Replaced
You know, I like the replacement refs, as all the favoritism for certain untouchable players seems to be gone. Also, those WR who get PI on every play they miss aren't getting favorable calls any more. It seems to have evened out, and the scores seem to show the "favorites" having to play on an even field.

At least for now.

Yes they are calling the game fairly as far as that goes but it's absolutely horrible the amount of missed calls and just flat out awful calls. I have never since just cheap and dirty plays as I saw from the Rams today and they didn't get 1 single flag and I've seen defenders just mugging receivers and not get called for anything. Those are calls that must be made.

Alex Smith slid down to avoid a hit from a defender tonight and still took an elbow to the helmet, that bloodied his nose, with no call. I saw a Rams player launch himself at a Redskins receiver and hit him helmet-to-helmet and nothing was called. I saw a Steelers player kick a Jets player in a scrum after a play was over without it being called. I saw a Rams offensive lineman mug London Fletcher after a play was over and nothing was called. Those are calls that must be made. Roger Goodell can't sit around and talk about how he's wanting to protect the players and then allow plays like the ones described go unpunished.
