NFL: Rennie Curran

Seriously? Between all the UGA homers out there, I expected multiple threads about this guy.

Anyway, my preferred 2010 draft was Brandon Graham in the 1st, Rennie Curran in the 3rd. Stupid Iggles.

Curran is a great fit for a tampa 2 having great speed to be able to drop off into coverage and play sideline to sideline. The Titans took him at the back end of the 3rd, then later fired their head coach and changed the only consistent thing they have on their team: their defense. Titans seem to be moving towards heavier players, and Curran just got cut. I would doubt he is ready to start, but could come in for depth (Spoon insurance?) and play special teams for a year or two.

Thoughts? He is better than any of our depth players, and could easily replace someone like Robert James.
