NFL: Ponder out vs Packers

Unsure if this works for or against the Vikings.

Webb is a running threat, which the Packers most likely didn't prepare for. Read option with AP all night!

Seriously though, this probably helps the Pack.

Nah they prepared because Webb ran first team reps in practice all week. We may be underestimating Ponder's growth. He isn't great, but Ponder put up 303 yards and 2 TDs against the Packers last week in a pressure packed must win game and they barely won.

You would have to expect that Webb do the same or have his running do it for him. That's tough to call. It could happen but idk if I would say its better.

I actually think this might help the Vikings more. The Packers now have to compensate for Webb's running ability which could open up even more running lanes for AP.

With all that being said, I just have a sneaky feeling about the Vikings. I dont really know why tho.

So far, Minny needs to keep running. One pass and they had to kick a fg.

If Webb can't put up a token passing threat it won't take long for GB to overwhelm them. That is all Ponder does is put up the token.

Its all about Ponder....I didn't think it would be this bad, but I knew folks were underestimating the value of Ponder. The offense isn't getting any first downs and its tiring the heck out of that defense. That offense needs to provide some sort of spark.
