NFL: Philip Rivers

Why does Philip Rivers get all this love from the media? Trent Dilfer just spent the last few minutes talking about how great Philip Rivers is and blah, blah, blah but doesn't get the credit he deserves because he hasn't won a Super Bowl and because his team doesn't rise up and play to his level. Dilfer said if you take everything away, wins, supporting cast, Philip Rivers is on the Mount Rushmore of QB's. Really? What has Rivers done to deserve that kind of credit? Yet when the talk about Ryan they only talk about him not having any playoff wins. What he does in the regular season means absolutely nothing to them. Why is there the double standard?

See that's the kind of response I was expecting but when I posted this over on AFMB I started getting attacked. That was the last straw. I'm pretty much done with TATF. I'll still talk about the Braves and college football over there but forget about TATF.
