RE: Peyton (Coopers brother, not the admin)
Who's to say that he will even be able to play well for the 2012 season? Dude had an injury that's known for ending careers and there is still doubt as to whether he can suit up on a Sunday. If he can play though, the SanFran argument is the best for my money. Great atmosphere and great pieces already in place. I wouldn't call it an automatic ring for him, but I think he would have to like his chances there over all the other options.

This is my signature.

he had the same injury stone cold steve austin had.. and he wrestled just about everyday on a full scheduled took bumps, hit in head/back/neck by chairs after the surgery.

if he can take that much punishment peyton can play QB in football where they're babied at

Yeah, the result are not real but the all the contacts are some what real.

Tell me being slammed around all day doesnt hurt. Not every moves in wrestling will be perform perfectly, and when it being botched, it hurts like a bitch.

I hope we havent seen the last of Peyton Manning, although it would be weird to see him in another uniform.

Quote:According to a report from Jason La Canfora from NFL Network says the Indianapolis Colts have already made their decision regarding Peyton Manning's future.

And the team is expected to move on.
If that is accurate, it's really not much of a surprise since the Colts now have a new coach in Chuck Pagano, a new GM in Ryan Grigson an appear to be heading toward a major rebuild with Stanford QB Andrew Luck the centerpiece of that overhaul.

The remarks Manning made earlier, which basically said the Colts facility no longer feels like home, looks like it is about to be true, as the veteran could be on the verge of finding a new home shortly after March 8 when the Colts are expected to decline his $28 million roster bonus.

It's a sad day if they let Peyton go. It's definitely debate, but I think he has been the smartest QB of all time. Not to mention, he's done more with less better than anyone I've ever seen.

Quote:Watkins, according to the sources, joined Colts neurosurgeon Dr. Hank Feuer in clearing Manning to play. One source said that Feuer recently told Manning, "If you were my own son, I'd tell [you] to go play."

"Peyton Manning underwent a thorough medical re-evaluation as part of a postoperative visit with his surgeon," Watkins' statement read. "As a result of this examination, Manning is medically cleared to play professional football."

Excerpts from today's ESPN article. I think this is a combination of Peyton being ready to play, and going a step further in leveraging this clearance to make it harder from a PR standpoint when Irsay let's him go. Also, it helps him when he hits the open market. I think he's smart enough not to risk his spine to make more money and have an opportunity to win a championship. I think he's ready to go and the Colts wanna go younger. Good thing for whatever team picks him up.
